What It Chew is intended as a personal resource, a way for us to remember what we’ve cooked and how we did it, or where we’ve eaten or had drinks at and how we liked it. Sometimes we like to remember when and where and with whom we cooked it. Sometimes we just like to chatter.
We try to credit our sources and inspiration wherever possible. Typically, our cooking reflects a mishmash of our Internet findings, tweaked to suit the state of our pantries and appetites. If you feel we have not given you proper credit, please let us know.
We live in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. Both of us used to have 9-to-5 jobs. Our 9-to-5 jobs were actually more like 9-to-9 jobs. Both of us agree that one of the great joys of no longer working from 9 to 9 is having time to cook.
